I beat myself up a lot in the world of creativity.
I say all the time that I am not creative but I have other gifts.
And then I re-read one of my favorite books "The Gifts of Imperfection" and this popped out this time I sifted through the pages....
We are all creative. There are only people who use their creativity and people who don't. It grows within us until it's expressed, neglected to death, or suffocated by resentment or fear.
Wow, right!! I love to cook good food, take pictures, dance + sing (only in my house, lol) and I am learning to love to journal!
I AM CREATIVE!!
I’m going to leave this right here from Lindsey Elmore 🙂
I’m not going to tell you what things from YL she’s referring to in this post (to stay compliant).
I’m not going to give my personal thoughts on it. I am very confident in what we do and focus on in our home. ❤️ and I also don’t walk around with my head in the clouds and think that we are invincible. We do our best to stay diligent with food choices, hygiene practices and the best essential oils and eo infused supplements to keep our bodies above the wellness line. We are far from walking in perfect health but we are aware and teaching our kids to be as well.
Here’s the post:

How I am preparing for the coronavirus.
As much as I wanted to answer this question with “I’m not. Live without fear.” I have been asked by too many people what to do to prevent coronavirus infection in their home. The news reports are scary, but we can take a few easy steps that prevent viral infections of all kinds.
First and foremost, don’t panic. Remember that though the virus is making waves on the news, it is really not very deadly and most people recover without intervention. Stress completely hijacks the immune system and makes us less able to fight infection. Try some simple meditation and deep breathing exercises to help reduce stress.
Next, wash your hands regularly with soap and water. No need to use antibacterial soap. Diverse bacteria on the skin actually supports the function of the immune system. And, given that the coronavirus is a virus, antibacterial soap will do nothing to help ward off the virus.
Exercise on the regular. Cardiovascular exercise expands the lungs, and may help to flush bacteria and virus from the system. Deep breathing associated with exercise also helps to create an energetic barrier between you and the outside world.
Stay hydrated. Water is necessary for the function of the immune system, and caffeine, alcohol, and exercise rapidly deplete it. Stay off the alcohol and coffee if you’re facing infection.
Try supplements like Vitamin C, B-vitamins, multiple vitamins, and glutathione. Also, pay attention to your gut and take a probiotic to prevent the ability of bacteria and viruses to enter your body.
Keep to a plant based diet that includes antiviral foods packed with antioxidants like mushrooms, garlic, ginger, kimchi, and elderberry.
Last, but not least, avoid contact with anyone who is infected. It is the simplest way to avoid infection.
Going back from whence we came: Don’t panic. There is a reason that news is news. Go forth with confidence and trust that health and wellness is already within you.
There are a lot of companies with cute packaging, earthy names, clear liquid in the bottles and possibly clean, white minimalist label with a big flower on it called "naturals".
You've got a few brands in your mind, don't you now? I do! Brands I trusted without researching.
Read your labels and google what you find! These products are not natural. sigh.
This is called GREENWASHING, I did not even know this was a thing. The brand pictured was one that I loved and trusted before I started to dig in and know better.
When tested, Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Liquid Dish Soap had a 204ppm (part per million) level of carcinogenic 1,4- dioxane- ten times higher than any other product. They also uses chemicals such as methylisothiazolinone, an allergen that is linked to all kinds of skin issues.
It takes less than 30 seconds for chemicals that touch your skin to enter your bloodstream. Washing dishes with toxic dish soaps is chipping away at your overall health. Serving your food on plates cleaned with this stuff, washing glasses/baby bottles, dog food bowls, etc.
So what is 1,4-dioxane?
It’s a petrochemical "known to the State of California to cause cancer". Due to its toxicity, many consumers would not expect to find it in "natural" or "organic" branded products. The contaminant 1,4-dioxane is a byproduct of the ethoxylation process, which is a cheap shortcut companies use to provide mildness to harsh cleaning ingredients.
1,4-dioxane is also a
⚠️suspected kidney toxicant
⚠️suspected to increase miscarriage and stillbirths
⚠️AND it’s a significant groundwater contaminant.
‼️Mrs. Meyers also uses 🚩🚩FRAGRANCE 🚩🚩in their products. Not many people realize that the word "fragrance" in the ingredients list of products is an umbrella term used by companies to legally conceal the use of up to 3,000 different chemical compounds in their products.
I encourage you to be the gatekeeper to your home. Be aware of fancy/deceptive marketing and know the chemicals you're putting on your skin, your kids and in your home.
There is no amount of “ looks pretty and smells nice in a bottle” that is going to reverse the amount of damage it’s doing in the meantime 👆🏼
I'm so thankful for non-toxic cleaning for less than $1 a bottle. The entire Thieves Product Line from Young Living is a simple and much more inexpensive chemical free switch. Oh and it gets delivered right to my door🌿
